The Bioinformatics Center at MEE (MBC) was established in early 2014 and provides bioinformatics support to MEE researchers. The MBC personnel have broad expertise in bioinformatics and works with investigators to form multidisciplinary teams providing routine, customized and case-by-case analysis services to the research community at OGI and MEE. Our team have significant experience in whole genome sequencing analysis, personal genomics (GEDi), exome depth and RNA-Seq data analysis for patients and research purpose. The MBC also works closely with the P30-supported Bioinformatics and statistics core directed by Lucia Sobrin and Ayellet Segre. For more information please visit the Bioinformatics and statistics Core Services page.
The MBC team supports the NGS-based genetic diagnostic (GEDi), giving doctors and geneticists the tools they need for exhaustive and precise diagnosis of genetic eye diseases.
